It's got some decent guests and musical acts and a large event despite it's humble two day length and hot pink website. Oh, and two day registration at the door is only $15. RisingSun.net is having their 9th anniversary celebration and photo shoot at Lake Eola, Florida. There will be fun and prizes and such, including free tickets to some Florida-based conventions for contest winners. There's a $10 cover to help pay for things and it runs 9:00 AM (09:00) to 6:00 PM (18:00).

Today is the day for WanFesu winter 2007. It's the biggest figure con in existence and if you're in Tokyo, then I am extremely jealous. Doors open at 10:00 AM (10:00) and the admission price is 2,000 yen. Be sure to bring enough for lots of figures.

Midlands MCM Expo

This is one of two MCM Expos in the UK and it will take place at the Telford International Center. Of course, the other takes place in London. The 1-day event will run you �7 at the door and the show opens at 10 or 11 AM depending on whether you get the fast track ticket, which will run you an extra quid. This alert is adjusted for GMT.

Not really an anime con as such, but I'm sure they will welcome you. Especially considering that they are hosting the 2007 American Anime Awards. I wonder what they mean by American. A full pass at the door will run you $60.

MegaCon 2007

Ahh, such short names. MegaCon is one of the many Floridian conventions. Three day ticket buyers get in to the show an hour earlier than the others and doors open at noon on the first day. The pass will run you $45.80. Note that this con is more an indie film fest/comic fest/anime fest all in one. Just a heads up. More info at the site.

I'm really just putting the 2007 in to make it look a bit better. Ikkicon is an Austin, Texas con that's got your normal array of guests, minus a few of the more rabid ones (DeJesus... You know what you did.) But also has plenty of voice people since they're in Texas, near all the anime companies. Admission at the door is $35 and it runs through the 4th. I guess the con starts whatever time in the morning. I'll list it as 10:00 AM (10:00).
